How often do you need notes above 15-17 fret?
Looks wonderful! The firebird shape is very comfortable to play. Well done!
Every time I strap on. I think 17th wouldnt be that comfortable either.
Anyone swapped the pickguard? I'm thinking about changing it but don't know to what kind/color, just for beauty purposes
How's everybody liking there Old Growth's??? Playing them or tucked away in storage???
Playing, not as much as I'd like to but still regularly.
I'm actually contemplating selling mine. It really doesn't see any action whatsoever since I have two other tele workhorses that I go to regularly
Mine has not been played....tucked away.. I thought of selling also
This forum has been rather quiet
Thought I'd share a build that I am hoping to do with some very old Redwood Factory Flooring
I started this thread over in Tele Home Depot
Yes it has been quiet....still never see or hear much about these models...Good luck with the build.
Hello Canadian Redwod Tele Players! How has your winter been going? Mostly mild and no snow here. I play my Redwood occasionally, maybe 2-5 times a month. Been rehearsing (or trying to learn) jazz with big archtops since last summer, if i want to pay tele it is mostly The Old Growth one, or Baja.
Hello Savofenno....Winter has been mild on the West Coast.. hardly any snow just lots of rain...perfect weather for staying inside and practicing...unfortunately just cant seem to get motivated so all the Telebration models remain in cases with all the hang tags still in place...I am optimistic that one day I will start enjoying them.
Haven’t played mine for a while. Not planning on selling but would be curious to know second hand value.
I really liked the Telebration series and ended up with four. There is another local player with a redwood that I know of, but aside from that it is like that whole series never existed.
Saw a new Tele recently made of reclaimed 100 year old pine complete with holes going right through the body.
I have felt the same way for years Southpole... I picked up 3 of the Telebration series when they were released very little fan fair...when it comes to the redwood model I have not gotten a firm answer as to why the Browns Canyon Tele (as advertised in advance) became the old growth
My understanding is that Browns Canyon simply didn’t yield as much usable wood as expected. It would be interesting to know how the various Telebration models rated against each other - most and least popular etc.
