Just traded for this tele. Sounds cool but the knobs look backward from other teles I’ve had. Tone and volume knobs do strange things but in a cool way…like both control volume and tone depending on switch position. Also, can’t find a serial number other than “045 of 100”. Is that really the serial number, or is it somewhere else? The set neck and overall sound and quality make me feel this is authentic. Ever seen any like this?

Looks cool. My Caballo CS Tele has the backwards control plate. Your guitar looks like Korina. Congrats!

Looks cool. I know several parts companies offer reversed prewired control plate kits.

It's really cool. Congrats! Control plate is flipped to give you easier access to the volume pot for volume swells--I have one that I set up like that. Oh, welcome, new guy!

That is a CS Tele Jr. The reverse control plate would be original, but looks like someone has added some alnico V staple type pickups. It would have originally come with Duncan Custom Soapbars.

    Very nice piece congratulations.

Sure has. I’ve thought about it several times. OP, I’ve heard the seller is hard to deal with. Comment??

Nice Congrats. Side note, when you switch the control panel around, don't you have to sort of reposition the knobs to work the "normal" way?

Depends where you like your "0" and "10" positions to be. Most people use the set screw as a visual indicator, so you may want to turn the knob a bit.

You’re right, Sean, and it’s a little trickier than you would think. At least for my pea brain. I tried it once on one of my guitars and screwed it up royally.

Hmm..saw that again this morning, it’s the same serial number. glenny314, you still around? Inquiring minds want to know. ;)

Duh, just hit me…. I’ll bet the guy selling this on my local CL is the OP here. Not much else makes sense. Made the assumption that OP had just made a deal for it.

Those aren’t staple P90s, just a very blurry photo!

Are you thinking the OP didn’t just trade for it as claimed in post #1 but he is the same seller all along, that someone else in this thread commented is “hard to deal with”?

He only has one post, never replied or liked any replies to his post, and it is still for sale. Almost seems like the first post here was just advertising, if that is what you were thinking...

I also was under the assumption that OP bought the guitar from the craigslist seller. I hadn't considered another option until now, but I suppose it's possible...

Not that he was advertising, but just trying to figure out exactly what he had. If it is the CL seller I think it is, he has many high-end guitars that never seem to sell that come and go for months and months. Always asking top-dollar. And I was the one who said he was “hard to deal with”.
