Wonderful Christmas Time is my revenge on my wife and kids for making me endure Christmas music. It is so bad that I have come to quite enjoy it.:lol::lol:

I made it to 34 seconds in. You’re totally on target. Awful. As in suck. As in, “You thought this was good?”

What I find interesting is when a big name has a hit with a bad song and "we built this city" is definitely the top one or two on my list and it still gets occasional airplay in the Bay Area.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned this one yet
also from the Bay Area. I do however like both bands.

    Timely for 2020, I present...

I heard this in the grocery store one day having never heard it before, and thinking that it was weird that I didn't have this drummed into my ears 10,000 times like every other '80's song.

Jon Anderson sounds surprisingly similar to Rocky the Flying Squirrel (June Foray).

Their self-penned rocker tunes are okay, but when they go to outside songwriters like Diane Warren, Desmond Child, or Holly Cole for ballads, it's excruciating.

But of course this song was perfect when arrested development had the uncle and niece singing it as a duet until they realized what it was about.

    Toooooooooooooooooooo many to name.

So I'll go a perverse route and nominate a wretched one by a magnificent band:

And this may not even be their worst. Which just goes to show ya...ah, I'm too tired to figure it out.

P.S. If you actually listen to this, evil things happen to all hamsters.

Have Sweet Caroline and YMCA been mentioned yet?

Also any number of ‘80s AOR power ballads by Journey, Styx, REO, etc.

Mull of Kintyre. Uncle Albert. Wonderful Christmas Time.

The man who wrote some of the greatest pop songs of all time, also wrote some of the worst.

I imagine nobody felt comfortable saying "I'm sorry, Sir Paul, but that is absolute crap".
