Just saw this on Reverb. No offense intended. Never heard of Westminster pedals, but they've got a sense of humor. I'm thinking of buying one of their Calvin Compressors just to see how it is.

I can't tell if it's a joke or for real.

I'm not on the side of liking or disliking him but this is just wrong.

That's funny, unless you're Joel Osteen.

I'm sure he's heard worse. I like the creative art these guys have. No idea if their pedals are any good.

If they are half as good as the graphics,
I would say that they are a winner:D

Health and Wealth, how can you argue with that. I especially like that you can turn up the wealth with the twist of a knob and you don't even have to name it to claim it. ;)

Does the compressor have "5 points" of compression?

I just checked out their website. Seems they are actually a serious going concern. They also offer rebates to church teams, which is cool. The Wycliffe Fuzz is interesting along with the Calvin Compressor.

I am planning on buying a used Calvin Compressor in the next day or so (going through my impulse buy waiting period). I've been looking for a reasonably priced limiting compressor. The early ones were hand painted.

Their 1689 OD pedal has a separate clean signal knob, besides volume and gain. What a great idea.

His podcast looks interesting too, if you are into that sort of thing. Just found these guys the other day. Google is weird. A week or so ago I was searching really hard for a limiter comp and all that came up was Keeley and a couple of other brands that were mondo expensive and ate up a bunch of real estate. These guys I found on accident.

Literally, yes! Its a 5-knob comp with threshhold. I just picked up on that, btw.

Now, if they had an "Arminius" expander or Booster, to counter the Calvin Compressor, that would be kind of funny. They have picked from a broad selection of names for their pedals from Wycliffe fuzz to Calvin compressor to Chalcedonian Reverb and Nicene Reverb and Spurgeon verb to the Augustine boost. Quite a breadth for inspiration.

Ha, maybe an octave fuzz? What would they do for Unitarians? Maybe an A/B-Y box? A bypass looper?

So this is the one I was watching:
    boavqxzg1oyr1dggtxmt.jpg

Notice the tulips. Ha, creative. Unfortunately while I was trying to calm my GAS, they sold it. But I found another for less money, but with less artistic detail. I'm ok with that.

I think they'd have to do a multi effects unit or maybe a poly octave generator.

I wouldn't want the Calvin Compressor because the settings are pre-determined. o_O

I haven't received it yet, but I'm curious about which knob adds and subtracts the depravity.

Wow, message from seller on Reverb. "This pedal actually sold the other day on another platform it was listen on and I forgot to remove it from reverb. I will refund you your money."

    Not cool.

Went ahead and bought a new one direct. @CapnCrunch, that is actually a 10 percent discount with free shipping, FYI. I signed up with them, you type a bit about your church, and they give you a coupon code that applies to all your church musicians.

Very cool. Unless I end up hating the pedal, and then not cool. Not cool at all.
