I have MUCH more respect for the guy who comes on stage with a Squier Strat or God forbid a Telecaster, plugs into whatever amp is available, adjusts the knobs a bit, and then BLOWS ME AWAY with his tasteful technique.
IMHO sporting a "signature" guitar is a sign of acute wankerdom. The whole point of a guitar is to be a personal expression, no? I felt the same way about blue jeans back in the day with "some Frenchman's name" embroidered on 'em (thanks Chris LeDoux). So unless your name is Wrangler, Levi, or Lee, you need to cowboy up and realize THEY'RE JUST PANTS.
