Finally finished this. 5 months give or take.
CAD model to mockup to actual in this pic sequence.
    A few steps in between!

I really like it. Great brash Strat sound. Tremendous range of tone compared to the humbucker models I have done. Just what I was hoping for. These Lace "Holy Grail" pups are said to be "noiseless".
I hear no hum at all so far.

Couple of lessons: The Ash was hard as hell to get flat and some slight grain is still apparent.
I will go back to Maple. Grain is a non issue with maple pretty much.

The Tru oil is great. Used on the neck again. Love it. But I will not use it on headstock again. Just doesn't shine up like lacquer for me.

@s_tones - thanks for taking us along on this journey.
Looks like there IS a pot-o-gold at the end of rainbow.

These come out mighty nice. Great drawing, great guitar, wicked cool headstock. Everything cut out by CNC?

    Thanks!
Was truly an adventure this one. To the question about CNC, yes, i try to use it for everything possible. All shaping, inlay, fb nib trimming, hole drillin’, nut shaping, everything I can really. For me thats much of the fun - getting fluid with the CAD/CAM/CNC stuff. It’s a little like playing guitar. Long learning curve. But fun!

Looks awesome! Looks like you could be at risk of hitting the switch while strumming? I know if sometimes do on my strat, so it's no different.
