My next one is kinda odd.
    It’s a singing telegram gig.
    It’s in Salado.
I dress cowboy (hat, boots, western shirt) and sing three tunes.
It pays well for not much work.
I’ve done about a half dozen of these.
    They’re kinda fun!

Got a last minute call for an acoustic duo gig tonight. I think I'll take the Martin D-1 and the Takamine GB-72 bass. Could be fun...

"Your sister Rose is dead!" lol The punch line to a singing telegram joke. Can't remember the meat of it, but the punchline as been with me for years.

Definitely sounds like an interesting gig!

    I have two today.
First is in Canyon Lake at Goofy’s, from 6-9PM.
I really enjoyed my last gig there a couple of weeks ago.
This is a dancehall type gig, and bass player Billy and I will be doing all the lead singing.
This band (we’re un-named) is full of seasoned veterans, and is a joy to play with.
    It pays well, too.
I’ll play my B bender Cabronita, and Chet into my trusty Roland Cube 80XL.
Next is my regular Friday bass gig.
I’ll be an hour late (arriving at about 10PM) because of the drive from Canyon Lake to Austin, but it’s cleared with the leader.
I’ve been using my gift P bass on this one, lately.
    Nice, busy day.
    I have a rehearsal at 1PM, too.

I have my regular first Saturday gig at Black’s BBQ in San Marcos, Tx.
We will be joined by my favorite drummer Timmy.
This is always a fun gig, and the BBQ is easily the best I’ve ever experienced.
I’m going to restring my avatar guitar later today so it will be ready for battle.
    Looking forward to it!

a good turnout; starting to see quite a few things canceled in our area:eek:
Playing as trio~bass, guitar and vocalist mostly doing jazz standards.
I plan to bring these two guitars and el-34 amp. IMG_20200310_163720920.jpg

    I have two gigs tomorrow.
I get to play with friends Kenny and Billy at Goofy’s in Canyon Lake from 6-9PM.
I’ll use my Chet and avatar guitar into my Cube.
This will be my third gig there, and it’s been fun so far.
My next gig is back in Austin, my regular Friday bass gig.
I’ve been playing my P bass on this one lately.
    Lots of driving!
    Looking forward to em’!

besides my solo shows, I maybe filling in for a guitar player in a Neil Young tribute show, so I'll be using a Clark amp ( Deluxe clone) and probably a Tele for guitar ( no LP ) with a few pedals loaded with boss tuner, Zen Drive, Big Shot PB1, Keely Comp, Strymon El Capistan, MXR Analog chorus, and Boss GE-7

Next gig is cancelled. Damn, my favorite place in Providence too. All entertainment in Providence has been cancelled for at least two weeks. I guess I could .... practice at home. Of the horror! lol

Sadly... this weekends gigs are cancelled.... next weekends are in jeopardy, and who knows about the rest of foreseeable future. No hockey to watch and no concerts to attend. I'm not complaining, or ranting... it is what it is and I understand why.

Time to hermit myself in my home studio, do some recording and maybe even "practice"

My senior living complex gigs have been cancelled.
So far pub/bar/dancehall gigs are still going on as scheduled.

It's pretty much the same here, but the small town theatres/halls are also closed - and those are the shows I've been scheduled to do over the next couple months. There is a couple casino gigs coming up, nothing will stop those venues from operating

Got a St. Patrick’s Day gig coming up Tuesday; sort of a new band, a four piece - two guitars, bass and drummer.
Small shotgun bar in Houston, tiny stage.

    Could get wild.

Taking Tele, flattop and electric mandola. SF Princeton. Will do a few Irish/celtic tunes, but mostly originals. Should be fun!

It's a power trio bass gig tonight with my brother. My Stingray through the GK MB112 and MBP115 should be just the ticket. Have fun tonight, guys and gals! I will for sure!

First gig for our rebuilt band at a local club I love to play. We dropped a couple dead-weight members to form a trio and added 3/4 of a new setlist in the process.

90 minute set after a Dead tribute band opens. Going to be loud and probably a little obnoxious. Hopefully we don’t drive the opener’s crowd out, because they probably have quite a few more followers than us lol.

Taking the Origin 50 head, 2x12 cab, pedal board, and my bound Tele partscaster. Hoping the same sound guy we had last time is there. He’s a magician.

Next gig should be in two weeks but they cancel more and more events, also the smaller ones. I fear that they close all pubs and restaurants within the next week :(. It's necessary but I hate it.

Both mine for this month have been pushed to next month for now. I'm not confident that they won't be cancelled outright.

I just heard from the club owner/band leader of my regular Tuesday and Friday gigs.
He’s shutting down till the end of the month, or however long is necessary.
I’m, uh, on holiday for awhile.
