I have a private party gig on the 30th.
It’s a “make up” gig for a Christmas party that was cancelled at the last minute a couple of weeks ago.
I’m going to bring my two B bender guitars and Katana 100W 1-12.
I have another NYE gig with the same leader thee following day.
    Looking forward to both gigs!

Tonight I play a private party at Cheatham St. Warehouse in San Marcos, with the Joel Hofmann Band.
I’m bringing my avatar guitar, Cabronita and my Cube.
I’m looking forward to playing there again, it’s been about a dozen years since the last time.
I play NYE with the same band at Riley’s Tavern.
    Yes!

    Private party at my place

My 12th annual NYE get together. BBQ, beer, band. Probably 40-50 people

I have a "private club" at my place out in the country. Stage, full PA, dance floor, lights, bar!

As usual, it should be fun!

    Cheers,
    Doug

Starting our 2020 bi-monthly cycle at Jacksons Restaurant in Gastonia NC this coming Thursday Jan 9 / 6 to 8 pm. 2nd and 4th Thurs of each month. I've been fortunate, I've been on this gig going on 5 years now ! 3 of the 6 band members have been on the gig longer than me, 1 for about 3 years the last about a year now. The band has been on this gig about 8 years now, incredible ! We play in a back room , there is room for approx 100 people and we bring in near that many each show . They are not just audience anymore , they are more like family ! Country, Blues , 50's, Rock and Roll , even some standards now and then. But by default we are a Country band.

Me, Emmons D10 Steel and a B Bender each gig. And a cart of course !

I have a gig tomorrow at 3:30PM tomorrow with friends Lamar, Ruben and Bob.
Well play a bunch of Elvis tune’s for a Elvis celebration gig at the Atria senior living complex.
I’m contributing Little Sister, Are You Sicere, Return To Sender and Kansas City.
I always enjoy this (semi-regular) gig and these bandmates.
I have my regular Friday bass gig later, too.
    Looking forward!

Playing a housewarming tomorrow evening. Strictly acoustic so the usual harps and SJ200 will be my only gear. PA supplied so it will be an easy lug.

I have my regular bass gig tomorrow.
I am going to borrow my friend Kelly’s bigger bass amp.
I’m embarrassed I can’t remember what it is.
    It’s 500W and has a single 15 speaker.
    Mine is 250W into 2-12s.
    It’s not the volume I want, it’s clarity/punch.
The gig is not an ideal testing ground, for lots of reasons.
I’m considering a more powerful, yet lighter rig.
I’ve got a light schedule this week.

Tomorrow night, local theater, playing a showcase for mostly oldies bands.

Playing with my regular 15-piece R&B horn band, and filling in on guitar with 2 other bands.

Taking the DRRI (with the new Emi Alessandro GA-SC64, yowsa!), American Standard Strat and American Strat HH.

Playing some country music tonight at a place called the Golden Bull in Oakland tonight.
I’m bringing my Eastman T486 and playing it through my Carr Rambler. I offered the guy playing in the other groups (same guy’s playing guitar for both the other bands tonight!) to use my Carr. It’s always nice to be able to lighten the gear load, and the other guy has quite a reputation as a fine player and as big fan of Carr amps. It’s gonna be a fun night!

I've never had the pleasure of trying out Carr amps but every review I've read over the years of different models gets me all excited.

My next gig is tomorrow evening at Linda’s Fine Foods in Wimberley, Tx. with my sister Margaret.
We call ourselves One Lane Bridge
We play and sing un-amplified, and it’s always a joy.
I’ll play my James Goodall RCJC.
    I’m restringing it today.
Looking very forward to this one!

Tomorrow I´m playing a 60 birthday gig with my former band since their new guitarist is too new for learning all the songs within the short time. I´ll bring out my fantastic Yamaha RSP20 Revstar with the small VOX MV50 clean amp and a small 1x10 cabinet. Only three pedals, a KoT clone, a Spark booster and BOSS delay.

Like I heard we´ll get good food and some money - that´s ok.

Playing with my favorite three piece rock band tonight at one of the local breweries. Tonight's a bass night! YAY!!! It's a simple 5 minute setup; EBMM Stingray 4 into my little GK MB-112. Put the GK on a kickback stand, hookup my L-1 and mic and I'm ready to go.
