Are you kidding me? This thing is unbelievable. How do they sell it for that price? Better than expected everything.. basic clean is pretty good, is it as good as my old fenders... no. The speaker is way better than I expected. Reverb isn't as drippy as my Fenders, but it is more than usable... the gain control is pretty impressive and the drop to 1 watt is great for the living room. I could gig this thing with a light handed drummer... For $250 with free delivery through Amazon, this amp is a steal. I remember when the Sovteks came out at a basement price and they were blowing trannies left and right. So far this little beast seems rock solid, a true Shemp amp!

They haven't been $139 for at least 4 years. But $250 is on the high side. They frequently go on sale or have free shipping that might bring the price down to $200 or so. It's still a good deal at $250. I've been practicing and gigging with these for about 5 years or more. Are they the best sounding amp? No. But they are good .

Threads like this are the reason that I have 4 or 5 inexpensive little amps in my closet that I almost never play. “It’s good, it’s cheap, it’s on sale, I’m gonna buy it!” Do I ever actually need it? No…
But now you can be fearless. Amp blows up, you just grab the next one and your gig, jam or weekend of rock isn't ruined. If all you got is a $900 amp, when it goes down you may be out of action for a month until your tech gets through his backlog and can get to your amp.

To me it's like buying a pedal I have a dozen great amps, Carrs, Fender, Marshall, Vox, Roland, Bogner... but for a Funky little practice amp this thing is fun. I did get free shipping for my $250.

Long story short, if they break they become landfill or an extra speaker cab.........
I hate to be “that guy” but this is what I was thinking when I bought mine ($202 with a code). Extra speaker cab, I mean.

Turns out I use the amp all the time. In fact, more than my Princeton for at home practice because of the 1Watt feature.

Never brought it to band practice, though.

Really good sounding little amp
