Very nice. From the title I thought this was going to be a post about antisocial behavior at public swimming pools.

Sounds good. Nice touch on your guitar playing.
Just noticed you got a big stack of records on that page! Subtropical Blues is sorta Jerry Reed like. Buncha' good stuff.

That was really good. Reminds me of the Drifters. Great work on your part. Never mind the derivative part, a good song is a good song.

To keep in the spirit of the forum, here is my process for this track.

Pro tools 10, Avid Eleven Rack interface for all DI/vox/guitars. Homebrewed Telecaster with Rumplestiltskin pickups, Jazz Bass with Duncan Apollo pickups. Studio Projects tube mic, a variety of horn and string mellotron samples I downloaded ages ago and drop in for orchestration . EZDrummer and my bro in law on Hammond.

These days I struggle with (tinnitus), so any deficiencies in the mix I'll blame on the chorus of cicadas in my head, lol.

Very nicely done on all fronts. Dig the storyline, very clean playing and production, and snappy arrangement. Immediately brings to mind Mellencamp's Cherry Bomb, which of course is an homage to the same lineage you're hitting on. Going to enjoy running through the other 50 or so tunes you have up there!:lol:

Sounded fantastic. Guitar work was nice sounding. Very nice. And yeah, totally Motown sounding Which is good. Although the bass could maybe be a bit more spicy? But then again it kind of fits the song to be what it is. It comes across better in the bridge though....

Can I ask what guitar you used and what amp and what mic? It sounds fantastic.
