    The Rock.

He may not be the finest thespian working, but really ... Hollywood will put him in anything and generally it pays out at the box office.

Have a failing franchise? Just add the Rock, throw in a few references to the last movie... then watch the cash roll in.

I'm not poking fun, I have a lot of respect for his public persona. My point is audiences simply love the guy.

Who wouldn't like to see the Rock as Jack in Titanic?

All of the characters in a Nutty Professor remake?

Even as Jeff in a Big Lebowski remake?

I'm just sayin' the guy is THE Hollywood solution to any casting problem.

Maybe he and Vin could reunite and do a Too Wong Foo meets Thelma and Louse mash up?

    The possibilities are endless.

They mastered interstellar travel, and all that that entails, yet we have a Scottish Spaniard and a French Scot. There are many things wrong with that film, and now you've managed to add another layer to the onion of incoherence from whence it emerged. Were I to wear a cap, I'd doff it to you. I hadn't considered that plot hole before :)

Clive Owen instead of Daniel Craig as James Bond. He can do dark as well as suave and to me has the “look.”

They could have put Tilda Swinton into that costume and not missed a beat.

Hard to imagine who else could have been Captain Kirk or Captain Picard or Mr. Spock.
It's kinda like trying to imagine what other guitarist could have made Van Halen. Well, sorry, it's a rare bird that is ever as good as the oiriginal. ONce that first impression sticks it's pretty much a done deal in my mind.

Have you seen The Wind and The Lion? Connery plays an Arab ruffian. Wrong accent aside, it is a *wonderful* movie. Brian Keith kills it as Teddy Roosevelt, and Candace Bergen is...Candace Bergen: HAWT!

Another really great film from the time with Connery is The Man Who Would Be King, with Michael Caine. Funny and thought-provoking, and fantastic acting all around. I classify this as one of the best films nobody ever saw.

Bad enough that they lumbered an Egyptian with a Spaniards name of Juan Sanchez-Villalobos Ramirez, but to afflict that 'accent' too.

To get the full name, I read the Wikipedia page. Sean had voice coach lessons to master the Spanish accent. Maybe he played truant that day?

    From Wikipedia:

"The opening voice-over by Connery has an echo effect because it was recorded in the bathroom of his Spanish villa, where he had been working on his Spanish accent for the film with a voice coach. It was played for the producers over the phone, and they approved of it because they could not discern the quality of the recording."

I'm trying to imagine them in each other's roles in The Towering Inferno. Not sure if that one works.

For some reason I can never tell Lee Marvin and James Coburn apart, so for me they could play each others roles and I'd never notice.

Some actors place their incredible stamp on what ever they do. For example, can you imagine another actor stepping in to replace Samuel L Jackson in one of his films? Yup, one huge incredible stamp.

As a fan of The Duke, dem dare’s fightin’ words...

Having said that, someone please tell me that pic was photoshopped. Even Tom Selleck’s Magnum PI OP shorts weren’t that...revealing.

    Nice legs though
