There is a saying - "If you don't like the weather in Ohio, wait 10 minutes - it will change."

Yesterday we had the windows open to let some fresh air through the house. It was really nice.

Today? It is snowing this morning.

At least we got to air the house out.

Same here in Illinois, no snow but rain. We usually just get it a day sooner before we send it your way.:D

All week long I saw the weather forecast saying Friday was going to be warm so I went out and picked up some steaks early in the week to plan a barbecues. I get up for work Friday morning and open all the windows. It was so warm at 16C (61F). By the time I get off work its down to almost 0 celcius and I'm barbecuing in the cold.

I'm half an hour south south east of your location, so yeah. Crazy west side weather.

I think you hafta be a glutton for punishment to live in ANY state bordering any of the Great Lakes. The most dismal, depressing gray & cold area in the country.

    Florida never disappoints.

    I know you’re a transplant but I think you’ve fully assimilated.

Your views on women, hair, and music are similarly “regional”.

But then again, that right there is generalizing, which is just a lazy/quick take version of “thinking”. I’ll cop to it.

    But , opinions...

Surely you aren't talking about me. I was born and raised in Northeast Ohio, except for a few years in Michigan as a kid. No Florida for me - too hot.

I would not live anywhere else. The grey skies never bothered me. I love the midwest.

I’m surrounded by the Great Lakes.

If Nebraska and Kansas are the “Midwest” , that’s not where I live .

I live in the Great Lake state.

(Especially this winter where, 80% of the storms, trauma, ice, and crap weather slid right below us. If I’m granted another winter on this earth, let it be just like this past one...)

Lifelong NE Ohio resident (65 years). We've been in Akron for the past 7 years.

Temp dropped about 40 degrees overnight and a bit rainy. No snow yet.

Akron. I used to live on the west side before we moved even further west. We still identify more with Akron than Cleveland.

I live just east of Lake Ontario in the North of New York and you nailed that one on the head. Dismal, depressing and Lake Effect Snow... I keep saying I stay here because the summers are great but they seem to get shorter and shorter each year!

So, we just got done with several days of rain in SoCal. This you all know turns to mean winter weather for all east of us. Tornadoes to the south and rain and snow to the north. Just a PSA we expect three days of rain starting tomorrow. We are currently running 63 degrees and sunny for today and into the 40s at night. The next 3 days are cooler because of the rain. Get a hat. I have a buddy that grew up in SoCal that moved to Hillsboro in the south and he just loves it there. More power to Ohio.

I went to school at Syracuse and I own a house in Webster. The last year I lived there it snowed in June. One way ticket to LA was worth it! One of the grandkids in the family inherited a cabin at Tugg Plateau.

I was standing on a friend's driveway in a Cleveland suburb on a beautiful day when it suddenly became super foggy. I thought the world was ending. They asked me incredulously, "You never heard of the Lake Effect?!" Holy moly! I thought it just meant that sometimes the Browns get hit with 3 feet of snow.

I'm on Long Island. It was summer when I took the dog out last night and it's winter this morning... and it's still March. Go figure.
