I’ve seen Mother Mother. Fairly early in their career. I can see the appeal.

That other thing you mentioned, I unfortunately live near where that hellmouth opened. Thankfully I haven’t seen them. Counting my blessings.

There are a lot of great bands from Canada. And, as you point out, bad ones too. I wish more of the good ones received the deserved attention.

Never heard about Mother Mother.
Memes and hate-bandwagons aside, Nickelback have some decent riffs though.





My favorite Canadian bands happen to be my two favorite bands anywhere:

1) Men Without Hats



2) Voïvod

I took my kid to a nickelback concert , it was a great show , they gave four local bands a leg up including Puddle of Mud , whom I wanted to see , but was disapointed in, the NB show was Kick ass and reminded me of a garage band party , with fine music, worth the expirience,

this was another one that worked her tail off in concert
