I really do apologize for getting the thread off topic. I was reading the thread and noticed that stratbluesrock was on line ,and I never heard the final outcome of his lp repair. I won't hijack another thread ,I promise

How unusual, some guitar players don't like a new thing even though it's a very old thing. And then they start talking about something else. Very good.

You could all do yourselves a favour and learn about microtonal scales, the indian 24 tone system, the african 7-edo scale that clearly has a 'blue' third between where the western major and minor thirds would be. The whole science of tuning and tempering. The weird and wonderful sounds that can come from 17, 19, 22, 31 and 53 -edo. A lot of it sounds nasty, but so does your B string when you change from G major to E major. In 19-edo your major thirds are nice.

    Two important points:

1 Play fretless or slide and you might get there by accident.

2 The best way to beat computer music is to play something your audience has not heard before.
