+1, but it's not a combo and it has too many controls for the OP. With the right cab, it's hard to beat a VTM.
If it weren't 3-channel and if it didn't default to the Ultra channel without the footswitch, I'd recommend a Peavey Triumph 120. You can jumper the switching to the Clean channel without the footswitch and it's well worth the couple of seconds it takes. Not much difference between 40 and 120 watts, and you really have to be trying hard to get it to break up once you have the Clean channel engaged.
