    I like translucent bone nut blanks.
    I use a wet belt sander with one of those vices peegoo posted.

    Thatsa thought - I do have a good scale. I was thinking just the opposite - clear ice is more solid than opaque ice. But ice makes a poor nut...

    Can the bleaching process turn a translucent nut into opaque white? I ordered those blanks a long time ago from S/M and I believe one was supposed to be unbleached.
