    New Squier Esquire Day!!

After having waited for five long days yesterday I got my new Squier Esquire.
First off, two quick pics of her:

    Esquire 1.jpeg
    Esquire 2.jpg

    And now my first impressions.

This guitar ROCKS!! In every sense. Really. It is as hard as a tank, it is stunning to look at in real situation, the pickup seems to be really nice for some old dirty blues.
The guitar is not heavy, I'd say less than 3.5 kg which is almost perfect to me. The fretjob is flawless, and I am not saying it because I am in the honey moon: it is really a perfect job, period.

The most incredible aspect of this guitar is the neck: it is on pair with my Classic Series 60s tele, if it means anything to you. In other words, I'd describe it as a "vintage C shape", very far from the too thin modern C necks Squier puts on some models. It feels more substantial than my Tele Custom II, too.
It is not tapered, so you get some meat at the first fret and it becomes just slightly larger when you go down to the body. A really great neck, I was almost shocked.

I could play it just a little yesterday, so I won't go further saying things like it is a AV52 tele killer: it is simply a great looking and playing guitar at an affordable price. Had I the money I'd get another one in a heart bit.

To those who may be interested, I will more than happy to answer your questions. If I can say one last thing: get one while you can!

    Cheers.

I am not an English speaking native but I am sure that it sounds way cool, whatever way you pronounce it

Very nice. I admit that waiting so long to get another Telecaster actually had me leaning towards an Esquire. That one-pickup look makes the proverbial statement - it's like muscle-back blade irons in golf. You can either hit them or you can't. There is nowhere to hide.

    Beautiful!

I’m really enjoying the perfect fret job and overall feel of the neck on my CV50s. It really is flawless. I seem to have a quibble about most necks I play, but not that one. Good to hear your Esquire is flawless, too.

They are the original saddles as in pic #1.
I think you are asking because my picture is crappy  Sorry for that.

Yeah, as I said I was and still am shocked at its quality. Had I paid 500 or 600 euros I would have thought that the price was still correct. Crazy quality/price ratio.

    I love one-pickup guitars.

The less stuff you have on a guitar, the easier it is to concentrate on playing music and not be distracted by options.

    That is a peach!

Very nice. My first t-style was an Esquire, and it was a blast. I seriously doubt my next build will have two pickups.

Wouldn’t it just be an “Esquier”?
