I find it best to keep the Ouzo in the freezer, mate.
The 2nd time I lived in Germany, (in the 1980's), we frequented a neighborhood Greek restaurant, Stavros' Grill Taverne, in Mannheim Sandhofen.
Papa Stavros always kept a bottle of Ouzo in the ice-box, and after we had all had a wonderful garlic-heavy lunch, with lots of good biers, he would come pour shots for us.
And of course he would have one or two with us.
There was something about that ice-cold Ouzo, with the tiny ice crystals visible in the frosty shot glass, that was magical. And of course, when it went down your gullet, it sent a cold, delicious licorice coating into your system, which offset all the Mediterranean spices that were settling into your gizzards.
I love the stuff myself and always have a bottle or two in the house
Pop over to Corfu a couple of times a year and stock up on the real stuff
Never had it chilled though
oh Dear !! going to take it back there is a problem with the tone circuit when you adjust the tone control (on the lead setting ) it cuts the volume dont wanna mess with a new guitar so I will ring the shop when they open !! in about an hour .
So that's what "Tele-holic" means.
