NPD--tc electronics Tube Pilot

    Got this today at GC--I traded in some pedals, and *made* $11.01 on Black Friday!

    So far, I've only tried it through the Champ 600, so I suspect it will sound different through my other amps, but I like it--with overdrive around 8 o'clock and output between 2 o'clock and max, it adds some warmth and grit, but above 9:30 or so, it enters fuzz tone territory, which isn't what I'm going for (but is good to have; I don't have a fuzz pedal).

    There's a Bugera branded 12ax7-d tube on there, and I'm going to try a JJ 5751 in there next. Is anyone familiar with this "d" tube? Any guidance appreciated.

    Tried out the 5751 and I like it much better, far less hair and a more useful range of the controls. Can't wait to try it at volume with my two-combo amp rig!
