Highway 49
Friend of Leo's
So, not the new rotary, swirly Boss pedal, but a Boss GE-7 (secondhand from Rich Tone Music for £69, in pretty much unused condition).
I haven’t really done more than switch it on but I’m hoping it will help with:
1. subtly taming my amps high or low end, depending on what’s needed (sometimes the Princeton Reverb could do with a notch off the top end and the tweed Champs could do with a touch less bass)
2. EQ for my acoustic when playing through a guitar amp via a pickup (it’s a great sound but can be difficult to control)
3. a kind of faux treble booster to use with my Fuzz War in the style of the Fuzz War Overload as used by John Dwyer of Thee Oh Sees (I don’t know if this will work but there’s a guy on YouTube giving it a go).
I really don’t know how any of this will work but looking forward to experimenting…
