    Anyone out there have these two pedals and like to do a comparison? I'd also be interested to know.

    I have both, my DM-2 is from ~1988. The analog mode of the DD7 is great, it may sound better than my DM-2, which admittedly is a little worse for wear. I only hold onto it for sentimental reasons.

    Nothing against the DM-2 or -2W, but I've also had a DM-3 since forever. Also have a couple of the Hermida delays, Echorec, El Cap, Carbon Copy. Yeah, I like delay.

    Delay is so good... I bought a “vintage” dm-2 and when the waza came out I bought one of them too....so I could have TWICE the fun

    Thank you! I own a DD-7 but have been thinking about buying a DM-2w or Ibanez AD-9. A pint to you good sir!

    I have the DD-7 and DM-2w, the analog mode is really close but to my ears a little darker and softer than the Waza.

    I like using the DD-7's analog for always-on "reverb" slapback because it melts into the tone so well, and I use the DM-2w for solos because it is a little clearer and you get the authentic degradation on the repeats.

    I've also rediscovered the joys of my DD-3 lately. It's a great match with my new Dyna-Comp. I like the digital delay for a little longer setting and a analog model for slapback. Guess I'm going to be one of those guys with two delays on my board. :)

    I'm pretty much in the same boat. I've got 2 delays on 2 of my 3 boards and will soon be adding an El Capistan as delay #2 for my 3rd board. Nice to have one covering slap back and one for other delay duties.

    No shame in that game, DM-2w + DD-7 on my board!

    I just got my DM-2w in today. Wow! This is a great sounding delay.

    I wonder how close the Mooer copy gets..

    I have the El Cap, and it's delicious. But since a new one is insane money (bought mine used for a third of the price) and fairly complex to use, on gigs I've been making do with a Mosky Blue Delay. So when gigs return, I'll likely want to upgrade that a little.

    The Boss is definitely on my radar, but I also remember liking the Echoplex algorithm on the TC Flashback...

    I like my DM-2w a lot. Great slap back that doesn’t get in the way but is still not too dark. Nice for longer delays in the custom mode, too.

    @RTR,

    What settings do you find yourself going to the most?

    I just got mine so I haven't had a lot of time to play with it, but I like the "point all the knobs toward the LED" setting. Nice classic slapback there in the standard mode.

    Yes, indeed. I find myself using it for slapback in standard mode quite frequently. I find it hard to turn this thing off. It has a permanent place on my small board.

    I have been using a Carbon Copy which sounds very good...but there's just something special about the Boss. :cool: Sorry MXR!
