I never thought I'd want this, but the pic on BringATrailor has me sucked in. And then I'd have two vehicles that match my guitars! The blue ones below are mine.

Any other pics of cars/trucks that match your guitar?

I need that to match this...

    But I already have these...

1967. Same age as me. My dad bought in in 1983 and I inherited in in 2009.

I have a black subaru impreza that matches my black tele

A new army green Tacoma is in my future, so are you telling me I need to add a green guitar to my collection? I might be in the market for a decent affordable bass soon, so now you really have me thinking :D

I was going to paint the car Butterscotch Blonde, but Mrs. Steerforth vehemently objected, so I let the idea go.

All my Fenders are burst - one two tone and one three tone.

I googled sunburst car finish, and about the only one that showed up is a pic @Peegoo posted. So I though about it, and decided -

Hard pass. No. Hells no.:lol::lol:

Although an interior treatment might, and I emphasize might, be OK on the right car (not this one).

So cool. My old man had an '59 XK150 and had to sell it when I was five or so (1975). He had a string of British two-seaters after it, but nothing like a Jaguar. Glad yours stayed in the family... I'm also from Dallas and your post reminded me John's Cars off 30. That was my dad's beat on the PD and I think he knew them pretty well. Quality work iirc, though I can't imagine engine-swapping anything but the rattiest Jag.

I called John's cars when I needed a new clutch put in. They just told me that was too much work for them. I am not sure what the deal was with that. Have not checked in with them since.

Grab a Chris Cornell signature 335 to go with that Tacoma. You're welcome. ;)

The guy in Chicago my dad used as his mechanic for at least a decade dropped a 400CI Chevy engine into a '73 Stag. The engine was so big they had to cut away part of the grill and you could see belts and stuff from outside the car. I was 16 at the time and soooo wanted it. Didn't get it of course. Good thing too as it was back in the shop 6 months after being sold due to fire in the engine compartment.
