Maybe it’s because they have the most over-hyped program in college football history.

Hey, I appreciate good marketing as well as the next guy but oy...

My daughter has her Stanford interview tonight. Fingers crossed! I'm sure she'll get recommended.

How so? Maybe 30 years ago before cable TV was showing just about every D1 game each week. They'll never be able to compete with the 'football factories' yet they are still in the top tier of NFL player representation numbers. Actually the most (I was surprised)

One of my kinsman was the AD at ND back when I was a kid, but I always despised "The Fighting Irish".

Why not just call the club "The Loquacious, Stumbling Drunk Irish". It is an odious stereotype and I resent it.

    ""The Loquacious, Stumbling Drunk Irish"."

Ever been to South Bend? It's a dirty little hole of a town.
