That arrived today.
Oooh exciting.... Congratulations!
Just breathe normally.
OPEN IT OPEN IT OPEN IT!!!!
Sorry. Deep inward breath through the nose - out through the mouth, contemplating infinity and OPEN IT OPEN IT OPEN IT!!!!
Oooooooh the anticipation! Yer gonna like it!
Your willpower as admirable. I would have opened it 12 hours ago.
And brought it straight over to my place right? I really need another Tele and a '64 would be good.
My next one will be a LPB PV64 , then i have the family complete, 52, 58 and 64
I'm with you on waiting. Just try not to think about it sitting in that unopened box waiting to be opened. As long as you don't think about it, the waiting will be real easy until you can open it after you've waited.
You are a lucky man tce. Most of us would love to have that family. I'd trade my kids for that but since they're all adults now they'd probably object huh?
I would have opened it on delivery in my (non heated) garage, put it in a case or back in the box and then let it acclimatize.
I don't think I would have the patience.
just open it, it's a guitar, take it out and play it.
too many people wrapping guitars up in cotton wool. It's a working mans tool, a lump of wood used to earn a living (in a lot of cases). Get it opened!
Come on man! Open that box. The poor guitar needs to breathe! Plug her in and warm her up!
Been there done that.. think 24 hours is a little excessive but I wait anyway. Congrats..I love the 58's but probably will never own one, the neck is a little slim for me. More likely I'll own a '64 sooner or later..
We joke .... But I received a neck (and body) out of New Jersey, and it arrived with some sharp-edge fret sprout. 24-hours later about as smooth down the edges as you please. Florida ... A good place for Teles!!!
my tele box didn't have that red sticker on it.But I ordered only the affinity tele .Guess we won't see that tele until tomorrow then
Had that last weekend on a box with TWO guitars in it. Damn near killed me. And then, 24 hours later, I got called into work. Longest shift I've ever pulled. Keep the faith, it'll be worth it!
I'm in the same boat, sitting on a bus headed home to a new Baja that arrived this morning
Yeah, especially the wood under the nitro!
I'm just joking by the way. We all know the "wood breathing" isn't to be taken literally.
Oh, and save the nitro vs poly debate for the thread next month.
