I think I must be kind of nuts. I can't remember the last time I actually watched a game regardless of whether it is Baseball, Football, Basketball or whatever.

For some reason a lot of my favorite movies are about sports. Here's a partial list:

Hoosiers
Remember the Titans
We Are Marshall
A League of Their Own
The Replacements
Major League

Even goofy stuff like The Longest Yard and the Waterboy.

Any amateur psychologists out there that can explain it?

I liked Moneyball, and I couldn't give two licks about baseball (or football, or basket ball).

I am a sport fan and do like some sports movies. The Natural, for instance, was a great movie, not just a great sports movie.
Now, I am not a big race fan, or fan of Formula One, but I recently caught a good bit of Rush on cable while working out. Its a Ron Howard film about the rivalry between drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda, two very different human beings. It was a fascinating study of two characters. And the race sequences were very well done.

im like that about films about music...could be about any genre if its about the beginnings of a band on their way to the big time...the beatles have a few on them

but im not all that fond of fictitious music films like purple rain or eddie and the cruisers

I have no desire to spend time in Mexico, but I love movies, TV shows and books in which the story goes there, because it's gives them an anarchic anything-can-happen quality.

I watched Hoosiers. When I got to the end I found myself wishing I'd just rewatched The Mighty Ducks instead.. Hoosiers was about as stupid but without the humor.
