I recently switched bands and have switched from Humbucker equipped guitars to using single coil pickup guitars with a fair amount of compression. After playing my first gig last night using my new Tele Select and my Gibson ES-295 with P-90s I've decided I need to do something about the 60 cycle hum. So far I'm looking at the ISP deciminator pedal and the Boss NS-2 pedals. I'm leaning towards the ISP. Does anyone have any experience with these pedals or have any other suggestions?

I'm having the same problem. I considered on of these pedals, but I'm afraid at how much tone they will suck. After giving it some thought, I am thinking about getting some fender noiseless pickups. I don't know. I'd love to hear responses.....

Have a look at this recent thread:
    http://www.tdpri.com/forum/amp-central-station/389824-dealing-amp-hum.html

It covers this same issue pretty thoroughly. Seem the "Hum Debugger" is the latest and greatest item out there for this issue, and is my new Gotta Have It. I can't quite justify the cost right now but, maybe some day.

For now my Boss NS-2 is doing the job.

I have an NS-2 on my board, I've been happy enough with it for a long time.

I have both the NS-2 and the ISP dec.

The ISP is faster than the NS-2, and has no effect on
tone that I can hear. It is also superior to the MXR noise gates.

    With a single coil Tele:

I have the Decimator. It cuts out noise when you are not playing. But when you play, the noise will be there.

I had the Hum Debugger. It affects tone, similar to shielding your pickups with copper. I traded it.
