That sounds a bit high. The average house is worth about 1.5 million in that community.
I'd always heard those guys were in tents...
so did you flunk math or english?
Don and Glen are in a rock band with Joe.
They get paid 8 million dollars to perform
at backyard parties. They play for 1.5 hours.
How much does Joe make for one hour?
Write your answer in long form.
At first I thought that couldn't be right. Then I googled private shows and read that many big names play private shows for multimillion $ fees. Good indication of just how rich the ultra-rich are.
There's a story that one band got an extra $2mil to let the moguls son sit in on drums for one song.
Well, as LBJ once said about J Edgar Hoover:
He'd rather have him inside the tent pissing out than,
outside pissing in...
I thought it was kinda a big number too. And, we don't know if its true. But this was a oneoff - they're not on tour. So, I guess they can charge what they want and if they get it, they do the show.
Or maybe arresting Frey for excessive egotism on private land and causing an adverse effect on the local ecology." Must be a statute on this if it happened in California.
I googled private shows and now my wife isn't talking to me.
Man, I didn't even have to do that to get the same result.
Well, the language was in there when the Bill was Engrossed.
But someone leaked the development to Frey and his peeps, and they killed it - never made it out of Subcommittee.
I can see Eagles for a lot less then that. Only they're the flying kind, not the musical. They put on a better show. I've never seen Don Henley catch a fish with his talons.
The Eagles headlined the Salmon Festival here last July. Being too cheap to purchase tickets, the gife and I hung around outside the gates of the outdoor venue and listened to a set from the Tragically Hip who came on just before. Just as the Eagles started, security came and opened up the main gate so people could just walk right in. We did.
So am I the only guy on here who can say he saw the Eagles up close and personal and never had to pay zip for the privilege? As a follow up question: Do you think Henley and Frey read this stuff and will I get a bill in the mail?
They'd have half of L.A. locked up. Maybe more.
