    Hey;
Does any one have any info on Noel's New rig. I am a huge fan of Noel's, and have alwars loved his rigs; ALways changing and inlcuding some great vinatge british amps and some old fender amps too.

His new rig sem to consist of 3 Vertical Hiwatt comos? with a Blues Junior?

if any one has any info/specs of this rig, that would be great. I can't find anything about those hiwatt combos.

I don't know why no one has commented on this, but that rig is awesome.

I like me some Oasis, but Noel's tone is frequently on the fizzy side for my taste. That is a great looking rig though.

How much do you suppose each of those Hiwatts weighs?

not only does the roadcase have wheels, I'll be betting on a small diesel engine to push it back up the ramp into the truck...

The fizzy would be that little, boxy blues jr.

Forgot to mention, that there are 2 THD hotplates on either side of that Blues Junior. Not really sure of the schmatics of the whole rig, but the blues junior/ THD hot plates seems to find there way into most of his rigs...

this is from a few years ago

I see a Pod in that rack! Horrors!

I like the triple Hiwatt action myself. Very cool rig.

It may just be the photo, but that amp on top of the Hiwatts looks too deep to be a Blues Jr.

That depends on which era of their music you are looking at... His tone was pretty fizzy on the earliest albums (at which point he was using a solid state marshall!)

The use of a blues junior is more of a recent thing from my knowledge...

Well now that not %100 true. Yes there was a marshall solidstate amp in the chain, but ultimatly it all ended up going through a Vox AC30.

A little while after that, he replace the marshal with a WEM, that wen into the AC30.

I think His more fizzy tones came a bit later when he was using the ORage AD30 in to an orange 4x12, along side a JCM800 with 2 1960A cabs.

**Just as a side note, although many people think of Noel mostly as a gibson/epiphone man, He does have alot of love for the tele...

    Rig Noel Gallagher 2008/2009

    Hi there,

I saw Oasis last year at the Bataclan in Paris and this year at the Zenith in Lille.

I am not sure of all the effects Noel is using so I won't get into those but what I can tell you is this: he's stepped away from his rack effects and has now a large pedal board and a smaller one hooked up to that. From my schematic you can follow the signal:

Guitar goes into the Front End Effects section

Front End Effects section goes into the Blues Junior

Blues Junior goes into Speaker In of THD Hotplate (8 Ohms) 1

THD Hotplate (8 Ohms) 1, Speaker 1 Out goes back to the Blues Junior

THD Hotplate (8 Ohms) 1, Speaker 2 Out goes into the Speaker In of THD Hotplate (8 Ohms) 2

THD Hotplate (8 Ohms) 1, Line Out goes into Hiwatt Combo A

Line Out of THD Hotplate (8 Ohms) 2 goes into Back End Effects section

Back End Effects section is hooked up in stereo (assumption) to Finale Effects section

Finale Effects section goes into Hiwatt Combos B and C.

Ok, that is how I think this whole rig is supposed to function, logically.

    Any other info is helpful.

Thanks and I hope you all found this useful coming from a newbie.

    Cheers,

    Paul.

I have a feeling I'm about to ask a dumb question, but wouldn't this be impossible? I've very limited experience with a Blues Junior, but does it have any additional ins/outs aside from the instrument input on top of the amp? From the pictures I've seen, I can't find any others. And the only times I've had the chance to play on one, I never thought to look anywhere for extra ins/outs. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.

I think you use the speaker out to feed the hotplate and the hotplates outut goes directly to the speaker. the hotplate then spreads the output to all the other applications, Hiwatts, effects ...
If I understand it right the tiny blues junior would be his central sound-forming device (or main-amp) while the hiwatts are used mainly to get the power needed on the big stage and amplify stereo effects? I mean: Millions of pounds and stikk uses this tiny cheap amp as his main rig?
    :D

I bought a part of that rig last year and sold it couple of months ago to fund the purchase of a vintage Les Paul.

He sells all the gear he actually uses here in London to a number of vintage shops. I suspect because I have seen him using Hiwatts on stage a lot that he only uses them on big shows and keeps other stuff for the studio and smaller gigs. If I had read this earlier I could have taken a few more shots of that Bassman he was using as his main amp, it was sweet as a nut and in ridiculous condition.

Here is a picture I took with his setting, he had someone write them on masking tape and I thought you might like to see them:

When will Malcom and Angus Young finally earn enough money to upgrade from just a Gretsch/Gibson guitar into a Marshall amp?
