Okay, just for fun, you can't pick a Tele, Strat, or Les Paul. No Fenders or Gibsons. This was the question I was recently asked as a hypothetical situation in which you have to pick your next guitar. It would be your last electric guitar and all other electric guitars you own will be taken away forever. What guitar would you choose and why?

Shoot man, I just posted the thing and now I have a technical question? You can answer that way, but I'm really looking for non-clones.

Stromberg (not the present fellows), or D'Angelico (not the present fellows), or DAquisto (not the present fellows), or Steinberger L with TransTrem. But hell I like so many guitars.

I don't like this game because I don't like a world with no Fender or Gibson! I guess it'd have to be a PRS of some sort... but man, not cool taking Fender especially away!

Without a doubt (and I have never played one), an early 80s Yamaha SA800/2000 or whatever model the semi hollow was. The quality of my SG800S (middle of the road mahogany solidbody model) is just plain awesome and both have the push-push coil taps. My Epi Sheraton II is my desert island guitar and gotta believe those Yammies are awesome.
