Just stumbled upon a European group of ladies called Country Sisters. One of the worst most manufactured bands I’ve ever seen. Backing track drums, awful staged dance movements, totally without feel or emotion. Their presence on stage appeared to add nothing to the gig, might as well have have been a disco.

I don’t normally knock bands, even ones I don’t like, so long as they clearly believe in what they’re doing, this outfit are musically OK but just a non-entity.
    Am I being harsh?

Seems the Europeans never really 'get' what American country is about anyway.

I didn't think it was possible to make Euro-country worse than the original.

    I was wrong.

There's a 10 page thread about it here.

    You could try reading that.

    Ok, I'm back.

Uh....yeah, pretty cheesy, but they're up there 'doing it', while I sit in an F-150 in the grocery store parking lot in Podunk, South Dakota, watching one of their many videos on YouTube.

It's a big 'win' for them by that comparison.

Don't expect Americans to be anything but provincial.

Fiddle (at least as played in country) is an Irish thing. The banjo comes from Africa. Steel guitar from Hawaii/Polynesia.

These girls however come from hell. Christ that is awful.

I think maybe you gotta be there. The folks watching seem to be having a good time, and taking movies with their cameras.
