I had to clean up the family room last night, and I got so inspired that tonight I kept going and unpacked all my guitar gear. The amps having been sitting with their covers on and all my other gear packed up since I got home from my band's reunion reunion show in early June. The "studio" is just Reaper on the laptop with a Scarlett 2i2 as the interface. Now that the space looks so nice, I really ought to try recording something.

    Very, very nice.

Inviting, tidy, and ready to rock.

My wife sees a place that clean, and organized she feels compelled to start piling stuff. Any flat surface is fair game.

Cool space. I can't quite make out the stereo receiver on the desk. Yamaha?

Seeing that after having to climb over a Fender Twin and walk around a few guitar cases to reach my desk makes me jealous. My room looks more like a dorm room these days than an organized space. Might have to do some straightening up this weekend.

No, I vote Pioneer. Looks just like one I've had tucked away in a box for (many) years. Nice receiver w/good transformer if I recall.

Oh my god I forgot I was going to buy a vacuum cleaner like 3 months ago. Oh well, weekend's almost here.

Is it just me that thinks that rock and roll shouldn't be that tidy?

How well insulated is the house? I always think twice before hanging instruments on --or parking a piano in front of-- an external wall. They change temperature faster than internal ones.
