    An old-school gig dog.
    '71 Deluxe.
Routed wrong, leaving a little space sticking out.
    Duncan Antiquities (nice).
    3 original pots, orig. switch.
    Volute seems smallish.
    1 11/16" nut and chunky neck (!!)
    Schallers, of course.
    9.5#
    Non original serious Gator case.
This one is a serious player.
    Feels and sounds exceptionally good.
    I couldn't walk away.
Someone said the nut is crappy, spongy bone.
    Yes?
I've never seen bone with that much going on in it.

It was probably a coil splitter at some point.
    Now it's just a hole-filler.

It sucks, but I'll deal with it :p
Everybody knows, the only thing worse than an AMF Harley or CBS Fender is a Norlin Gibson!

I would be willing to bet that the were Dimarzio pickups in your Les Paul. Maybe even right after the router job.

The dual sound humbucker came with a coil split switch. It was more or less a super distorion that you could split the coil. Hence the name dual sound.

Funny, eh...it was local to me and when I saw the post here, I'd already seen it on FB Marketplace.
For some reason, I REALLY dug it.
I offered what I wanted to pay...well...a little less...and made a deal with the seller.
It seems that folks don't much know how to haggle these days, so they ask prices very close to what they want to get.
This fella was ready to deal and went down substantially.

Terrific example, someone has loved that thing and hopefully you do too. I'm a big fan of Antiquities. They stopped my pickup search.

Was the hole larger than a standard humbucker?
Whoever did the route by the bridge clearly had the right tools and did a clean job...just a little to big.

No the Dimarzio was the same size. They guy who did the work just made it a bit to big.

    Cool guitar.

I had to fill in that bum route.
Not a luthier-level repair, but it looks better than a hole to me. IMG_20201204_213202.jpg
