That’s awesome! I also built a board on the cheap. I get some real good tones with this rig straight into my Ampeg Superjet!

Don't know if you caught my update about taking those 2 Joyo OD pedals off, and putting a Caline OD ( plus boost) back on- just for kicks.
Trying and listening!

All sounds good either way,
and that ugly green Joyo Vintage OD ( the TS type) is really great to add some midrange and adjustable stronger distortion when stacked with the milder, more open OD I usually have ON all the time...

BTW, I've never owned a real TS-808 ( TS-9, yes), but I have owned ( and sold) 4-5 other Tube Screamer types over the years and I can describe how, but this Joyo TS sounds great and friendlier to me- warm!

Since I have 2 small but similar pedalboards I'm just gonna keep this one freed-up to use with either! ( when I want to 'stack')

Tell me all about the Joyo head please....been thinking about getting one

Here's more info:
https://www.joyoaudio.com/product/28/
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RXV6C7P/?tag=tdpri-20

The Joyo Jackman (The 1st version. There is a newer one out that has separate controls for each channel -- costs about $30 more)
20wrms into 8 ohms, 12ax7 Preamp, Class D power amp, Effects Loop, Bluetooth capability, headphone out, etc.

The Jackman is designed to mimic Marshall tones
The Bluejay " Fender (Blues Junior)tones
The Atomic " Vox (AC) tones
(etc)

Sorry, I can't help on that. I never did get one. I researched them seriously and liked a couple of the models though (Vox voiced one and the BlueJay -- [I like almost totally straight-up clean tones at the amp..). I think the biggest problem you're likely to face is just not enough power to play out though (unless you have a really efficient/loud speaker for output).

it’s pretty loud. Great tone, especially with the gain up. Emulates a JCM800 fairly well, and takes pedals too. Mine has gain at around 1pm for a good crunch tone through a 212, and then a blues driver pedal to push the one tube inside when I need some more dirt. Clean channel is nice too, and takes an OD/Dist pedal brilliantly if you prefer your distortion that way. No real complaints - I’d gig mine probably.

Nice micro setups! Here is my little board I use for live. I use a katana 50 so I have 4 presets that I really like programed. At 27 pounds its easy to pack to a gig. I did swap the speaker due to flabby lows to a Jenson mod 70.
Here is my pedal board. From right to left are a Dunlap mini wah, a boss tuner, boss delay, a eq, a looper I use a little live as I am the only guitarist in my band and a nut channel changer. I run it all with a hot spot and with my amps internal gate/noise suppression it really works out well. I can set up my gear at a gig in less than 5 minutes. I also built a ten foot pedal snake that keeps my stage area tidy.

Looks like I can't leave stuff alone-
am adding ( just ordered ) this little Donner Fuzz to the little board. ( it sounds good to me- like having a Tone knob)

Will stick it first in line and move everything to the left!

I'm the OP with a simple ' tweak bump'!

I ended up taking the 2 Joyo OD pedals, seen in my #1 post (which I used at last weekend's gig) OFF, and
putting my Caline Sundance Special (dual-switch OD+ Boost, and the OD I used two weekends ago) back ON, to use for tomorrow's gigs.

These are fun, laid-back outdoor Cafe/ Brewpub R&R/Blues trio gigs- so good ones to tweak gear on...

Plus, everything sounds good with either OD choice.
I just want to explore this Caline pedal ( Xotic BB Preamp clone + separate Boost) a bit.
Maybe leave the Boost ON, to add a little hair and Gain to the my clean amp, then kick on the OD, ON for some moderate distortion.
Not the other way around, like last time.

I love this pedal's light weight, control layout and sound.
Just having some fun!
Will use Danelectro

What happened to the American Sound? Did it fall off your list?

What happened to the American Sound? Did it fall off your list?

The answer ( a lot of tweaking, on the cheap, for about a year!) is this:

- an improved speaker ( Emi Legend 10") put into my Fender Frontman 25R
( now my main/small gig amp)

kind of eliminated the need to use my American Sound to make that
amp sound better ( which it did!).

And this made it possible to move on, and futz around with making this current little pedalboard- just having some fun.

So the American Sound still makes it to every gig, just in case whichever amp I'm using happens to have problems.
I can just grab the American Sound ( with or w/o pedalboard) and go into PA.

( I don't do any home recording, or much electric home play, so everything I get is used or tried out for gigs)
