Yikes! That's the prettiest color ever! :)

Great photo...makes me think I most likely need to start thinking about finding my own first Gretsch. Well, I sez to myself, what's life for?!

Super great! Love that guitar! ((Is that the walnut or burgundy...too early AM for my eyes?))

The color is Walnut stain and as was asked, yes the pinned bridge tag is removable, I just hadn't pulled it yet when I took the picture.

    Classy!

Filtertrons? Gretsch pickups are a bit of a mystery to me.

I hate you! ;) That's the exact Gretsch model I've been lusting for as well -- it strikes me as kind of a workingman's Country Gentleman.

    Enjoy it my friend!

Once I had a 5422 that I didn't bond with, for whatever reason.
It left me with a big GAS for a thinline gretsch and yours is simply amazing, I'd snug it in a heartbeat.

    Big congrats!

Congrats on a very nice guitar! I also was gassing a LONG time for a Gretsch, and just got one, but it is a budget model made in Indonesia, but it does have the classic good looks of a Gretsch! With a little tweaking, including fret leveling and polishing, and a good setup at a local luthier, it plays fantastic. It does sound like a plywood guitar acoustically, but I'm actually quite happy with the sound when amplified. Mine is a G2420, with Chromatic II trapeze tailpiece, and I like it better, (at least for now), than my higher dollar Gibson's, and Fenders...LOL

I've been playing it for a couple of days now and have found one, and only one, thing that I wish was different. I wish the Bigsby was a string through instead of the pin style. Not that big a deal as I'm used to them, but it sure would have been a nice touch.

Nice, good looking guitar, Ironwolf. I bought a cheap, made in Korea, G5125 about a dozen years ago. Upgraded the bridge and tuners and installed TV Jones Classics. The Classics are nice, but the DeArmonds it came with were pretty good too. Now it's one of my favorite guitars to play. I love Bigsbys. I hope you have a lot of fun with yours.

It's kind of like a Country Gentleman.
