Well... this didn't turn out as expected. Went looking for another '88 MIJ Tele that in theory would be very close to my old one (on the left) that I bought new in '89. Came out of the box and was (mildly) perturbed that the neck was immediately noticeably beefier. But okay, knew that was possible, but no biggie as I purchased it to be the foundation for a Coodercaster project and for slide, neck dimensions (for me) are not so critical. It came with Dylan pickups which I'd never heard of, so thought to take it for a ride for a few minutes to see what the pickups sound like. Had my new copy of Abbey Road Naked playing on the stereo and this guitar just wanted to do George stuff. Some guitars got soul and some don't. This one's killer. Problem is, I like it too much now to use as a project. Now I have to start looking for something else to Cooderize.

Beautiful guitar -- good to hear it plays nice too!!
I would change to a barrel switch top but other than it looks perfect.

Nice! They complement each other very well! You've obviously taken care of the one on the left all these years. Looks great!
