So here we have a Brian Monty LP junior style. Brian is a Canadian luthier known for his Les Paul style guitars and particularly the neck carve which is supposed to be very similar to that of a 59 LP. As I don’t have one hanging around for comparison I can only tell you that the neck is very comfortable if a bit smaller than expected. It is no baseball bat. Not at all like my old 59 Special that I stupidly parted with many moons ago.

Fretwork is great, plays well, sounds great. The pickup is from Stew Mac and sounds fine to me although I have not compared it with my other P90 guitars. It has Grovers, and this is my first guitar with them and I really like how smooth they are. No idea who made the bridge.

    Cheers,
    Geoff

Very nice. I have a cheap Epiphone Les Paul Junior that came with a humbucker. Since installing a dogear P90, it has become my favorite guitar.

Wow! I wasn't sure which one was the new guitar when I first opened this up and saw the first pic of all three, but I immediately thought that Monty was beautiful. Congrats!

BTW, P90 fan, are we? ;)

    I might like P90s. A little.

    Cheers,

Just realized the volume knob is much closer to the bridge than an actual Gibby. Better, IMO.

    Cheers,
    Geoff
