Actually it's new guitar sometime last week day. A 2015 example of a Squier CV Jaguar and it's a nice guitar. The seller wanted less than half of new I had less than half of new, so it worked out. I had to go online to get a clear picture of how the controls work, but I got it down now. It plays great, sounds wonderful, it's different from anything else I got and the white finish and tort pickguard fulfill a fantasy of how I pictured the way it should look.
So I'm happy, having a ton of fun.
Squier is making some nice guitars these days, who would have thought.

    Cool

Be careful the tort is a very thin sticker, I thought mine had plastic over it and I peeled some of the tort off

I love Jags, but the switching confuses me ...

They were Fender's highest price guitars, above the Strat, even ...

Ouch!, that’s weird....get a cheap Chinese pickguard from Amazon....

I really like the Olympic White/tort combination..Squiers White is a bit too...white for me- but that looks perfect!!!

here is a cheap Jag tort guard—-looks pretty nice!

    Nice one, congrats!

I hate to be the one guy to tell you but that is not a Classic Vibe but an also great Vintage Modified Jaguar. If the flat tort and non-Mustang style bridge didn’t give it away, the lack of binding and block inlay say the rest. I owned both a VM and CV, and yes they are both just about the same except the features I mentioned. Don’t let that stop you from the honeymoon!

And your VM has a rosewood fretboard, the Duncan Designed pickups, and basswood body.

The new CV has a Indian Laurel board, Fender designed pups, and poplar body.

Not that any of this matters.... awesome new to you guitar! Enjoy!

Yep, none of that matters to the OPs fun...

Trying to fight my inner pedant, but.... later post-2017 VMs came with IL fretboards as well, and the pickups are basically the same, just no longer paying licensing to SD. There, I said it :)

Thanks to all of you who helped identify my Jaguar, I'm still happy to report that if it is a VM over a CV it still remains a nice guitar and I still remain a satisfied consumer.

I have a ‘15 and really dig it!

Here is a cool mod to consider. I really like the series tone addition to the Jag palette. You do sacrifice the both pickups off option but I don’t miss that one bit!
