Hi guys,
I just received a Yamaha612vii Fm in the mail today, bought online with out trying but they had some great reviews and I wanted a mid range strat type guitar that I can rely on and use for the handful of gigs I need a straty type sound for though out the year.
I love the feel of it and it looks great, sounds good but there's a problem with the bridge or string spacing?
I posted pics and you can see as it goes up the neck the string drift to the left with the low E string around the 15th fret almost off the neck and the high E string being unusually inward from the edge.
I can't make out what is causing this, has the bridge been installed slightly to the left so it pulling the strings over?
I can't see a way to fix it, the nut looks fine and the strings look OK up that end of the neck.
The strings also are pretty far off lining up with the single coil pickups too?
Should I send it back? Is this a factory default?
This does bother me as I have paid for it so please don't tell me that's it's not a big deal and just get used to it please.
Thank you.
