Plays and sounds great. For $200, I feel like I got away with murder. IMG_2727.JPG IMG_2729.JPG

Wow! I have not had an acoustic of my own in over 45 years, while I focused on pure electric guitar. But I was in GC yesterday and just could not believe how incredible this one Yamaha FG800 sounded, so I bought it. Man, it sounded better than most everything in that room... I'm stunned. Great product, Yamaha!

If you have never owned an acoustic or a Yamaha, you’re in for a real treat.
I’m a big fan of both.
    Enjoy

These are killing the competition. I saw one on Craigslist for $130 including hard shell case. Drove over and bought it. It's the loaner guitar in my studio now. I lowered the bridge saddle a bit, but everyone who plays it remarks on the quality tone and playability.

My very first guitar was a Yamaha acoustic, I think it was an FG-75. That was over 45 years ago - how time flies.

Congrats on a great purchase! :)

I bought the FGX800. The cutaway version. The scalloped bracing makes a big difference. Great guitars. I use it at almost every gig now.

For reference, I have a D28 that I bought new in 96. My Martin is simply worn out but I don't feel like I am missing much with the Yamaha.
