2012 MIM Cabronita. Ash. I’ve had several of these before and like a dummy I sold them. This one I’m locking down. Odd that some later 2012 cabs don’t have “Fidelitron” stamped into the p/u covers. I totally recognize the pickups and don’t doubt they are in fact them. Ordering correct 2/16th string spacing Hipshot bridge as the stock one with errors bothers me.

2019 Epiphone SG Special p90. This guitar is such a steal at the price. p90 Pro alnico 5 pickups with braided wire. Stock CTS pots. Bound laurel rolled edges fingerboard. New old Kalamazoo Epi headstock (I really like). Stock graphtech nut.Pelham Blue! This is such a value. Rare for me....but literally I feel nothing needs upgrading on this guitar.

I dunno about your timing or rationale, but I'm on board with your selections! :)

    Congrats x2!

You have great taste indeed and yes, these epiphone's are really tempting (I am biased, hopefully I will get a LP Special today).
Enjoy the both of them and stay safe.

Very sweet. Congrats! I have the exact same white Cabronita - one of my favorite guitars. Have a great time playing them.

I completely agree. Based on my experience 10 will keep you satisfied. Well for at least a year, or a month or 2 weeks.

How's the neck on the SG? I've got my eye on one of these but I'm thinking with that neck
joint and a skinny neck the neck has to be a bit wobbly.

Cool Looking Cabronita. In retrospect, I shouldn't have gotten rid of my Cab Thinline, but I had a Gretsch Country club at the time, and couldn't see any reason for having 2 guitars with FilterTrons. Maybe I should get another one. It had a fantastic neck (nice and chunky), and the pickups were as good if not better than the pickups my Gretsches had.

My old Cabronita Thinline (photo was taken at my desk at work - I had the guitar delivered to my workplace)

I have the same Cabronita too. Big fat neck! Love it...my pickups don't have "Fidelitron" on them, either!

Just curious...what is the "error" with the bridge?

The bridge error was alignment related. It wasn't much of a problem with the Thinlines, but with the non-thinline version, I remember reading a fair amount of gripes when these MIMs were available (I bought mine in 2013) about the bridge being positioned wrong, resulting in the strings being shifted off-center on the neck.

Oh gawd!! I had to go look on Reverb, and what do they have? TWO Thinline Cabs for sale! They're in Shoreline Gold, and I'd prefer a sunburst one, but I get the impression that the sunburst ones like I had, are not that common. Must think hard about this to avoid impulse buy! - especially since I'd have to cough up about $350 for a refret job to have hypoallergenic frets installed (in 2014, I learned the hard way [I got mega dermatitis all over my body, because my immune system went crazy] that I have a severe allergy to nickel [and of course almost all guitar frets are made of nickel alloy]). But those Fender 'Filters - they sound killer when you crank up the gain on your amp!
