So I picked up a very nice Butterscotch Blackguard American Original '50s Tele and sent her off to Forrest Lee a few weeks back for installing double benders. He sent it back with his D/G and B/E saddles, which are a real good design for string guides being built right in while still retaining the traditional three barrel look. Upon return she had a few more items changed. Upgraded to an electrosocket jack, a 4-way switch for that 4th series setting (think Les Paul in middle position), TBX tone pot, Callaham cold rolled heavier steel bridge plate and E/A stainless steel enhanced vintage saddle (kept the FLC brass ones for the G and B), Beacon banjo tuner for drop D, and a little TLC on the nut slots for running 10-52 for a little fuller bottom end. This is a beautiful guitar, Forrest did a fantastic job, was prompt and highly skilled to every detail. I have noticed absolutely no change in the weight of the guitar with all the work. It plays like a dream and sounds like angels singing. Finally got her through the paces last night at rehearsal. He is a master at his craft! I would recommend his work to everyone! Thanks Forrest! I have an ear to ear smile.
