I'm looking at getting the above. Never played one, only held/ogled one for a few seconds.

Comes with a gig bag. Seems like an pretty good deal to me. What do y'all think?

Pics? Meantime, if it's in good shape $500 is a good deal. There's a fair amount of love for Road Worn's here in the forum. I've really liked the ones I've tried. I'd prefer a 9.5" board rather than the 7.25" like the originals had on this guitar but that's not a major issue. As long as it's set up well nothing wrong with 7.25" radius.

These are great guitars! With some TLC and a few adjustments(like compensated saddles and fret smoothing) Id put the best examples of the Roadworns up against any telecaster!

I had a Strat I got from a local shop when they first came out. It is mostly a band / orchestra type place that carries a few Standards& Squires so they couldn’t move it. I offered cost
(about $ 450 ATT) and took it home;well worth that. One I ocassionly wish I had kept.

Decent price as long as the frets don't have too much wear.

No question that’s a steal. Those necks feel great.

My top recommendation - Put ‘51 Nocasters in it. Great guitar and phenomenal value.

I've got two and love them - near as you'd get to a real 50's or reissue and still be able to eat! The early 2010 one was really well done as they were really trying then. Just got a 2018 and it needed a bit of work - basically the frets were too tall and rather square but otherwise fine. Big V necks - bodies - alder sunburst and ash the blonde. The Tex-Mex pickups are quite hot - 8k bridge. Just changed one set to Nocasters - very good indeed. Fine guitars - "vintage" affordability.

Yes. If it's in good shape: buy. And if you like the Texas Special pickups in there, that's cool. If not, put in a set of Fender Custom Shop 51 Nocasters like @rze99 said. Then it's out of this world good.

Just got her home. The fret ends could use a little work but I think it's already at least my second-favorite neck.

The Tex-Mexs are a little dark but I need to get her set up the way I want anyway. Now to have fun comparing her to her Baja cousin!

Thanks again to all for your advice.
