I've never seen the CVC in that color before, or with a six saddle bridge and neck humbucker. Are those two details the mods?

Hi there in Leicestershire from here in Brixton.

Yes, the Classic Vibe Custom Telecaster Gold Bronze was a short run for non-USA countries. It's the best finish they did for the Classic Vibe - like Shoreline gold meets Tungsten. Never repeated.

Here's what mine looks like now. I used the body to make a '62 type. The only thing left of the original is the body. But what a body!

IIRC, these were exclusive to Long & McQuade stores (major national brick & mortar music store chain) here in Canada a few years back...
I kinda kick myself for not grabbing one, but recall that the thin neck made me hesitate, and then they were gone!

My understanding is that this was the original spec: -

And that the mods were: -

    Pickguard
    Humbucker cover
    Bridge

Yep... and That humbucker was a dog. All the clarity of a cess pool. The bridge pickup was OK.

As a new guy, you’ve shown that you can buy yourself a new guitar and offer a perfect justification.
Buddy, you’re gonna fit right in.
    Welcome,

Man, I would scoop one of those up in a heartbeat on impulse. Kind of glad they're not offered over here.
