Finally officially joined the Telecaster club! Was at a Guitar Center here in the Twin Cities with my wife trying out some expensive teles just for fun (American Elite Thinline and an American Professional tele with rosewood fingerboard). Was having trouble deciding how I felt about the two, and was tentatively considering purchasing one in the long run, so I decided to grab a Squier tele off the wall for comparison. Sat down, plugged it in, strummed a chord and went “oh... well, that’s interesting.” Played it for a while, and decided I actually preferred it. I tried the other two a couple of times again but kept coming back to it.

Long story short, two weeks later came back and bought it. Hadn’t been able to ignore it, just kept thinking “that Squier though...”

I’m very happy to finally have a tele! And in the surf green no less! The tuners are going to have to be replaced, they’re ok, but don’t hold up to bending very well. Otherwise incredibly pleased, couldn’t be happier!

Congratulations! Thanks for posting. I’m really getting hooked on these Bullets.... I keep looking at all these new posts. I’m torn between the sea foam and the lake placid. I have to balance off my red guitars!

Are the back ferrules flush or raised?

Also, what kind of 90° jack is that? Is there any issue with it seating all the way in?

And if you decide on vintage tuners, Gotoh (I think that’s who it was) makes a set of adapters that I found at a great price shipped. I will get you the details if you need . . . . I’ll have to go through my receipts!

At that price? buy them both!

I actually have searched a few years to find an 2013-16 LPB Affinity, but couldn't get any. Finally I got me a MIM Standard in LPB, now only the green one is so tempting... If I only had the room to put it, but my man cave is already filled with nice Squier and Fender telecasters...

Congrats on the tele, I have the same one. On the tuners... I would check the nut first, maybe the nut slots are cut too tight and its the problem you're experiencing with bends and out of tune.

    When it works, it works.

Most everyone here is no stranger to guitars that punch well above their weight.

Lubricate and perhaps file/replace the nut before touching the tuners. Otherwise, you'll have the same issue.

The color looks great! I am going back and forth on a bullet vs affinity vs CV vs build my own. That one you bought looks nice. Good luck!
