I have a Tokai Strat (Candy Apple Red) that acquired a Floyd Rose back in the 90s (I know..) and I'm seriously thinking of giving it the hardtail treatment. Zero access to workbench etc for the foreseeable future though, there will be some serious wood plugging required.

Very nice James! I always wanted a hardtail Strat and found a sunburst Cray model on my local CL. The seller had Fender Noiseless pu's in it which I removed and replaced with Cray pickups from Stratosphere. It's a great playing and sounding guitar and It might weigh 7lbs. soaking wet.
