I scored a ridiculous deal on this roasted ash strat! It’s u believable! I don’t have time for much at the moment since I just got it and I’m still at work but I wanted to share a couple of photos to begin with!

Is that a Wildwood Thin Skin roasted? I got one last month and really dig it!

    Cool score!

That’s really strange, it makes me want to eat it because it looks like a tasty ginger bread.

Beautiful guitar, especially with that bakelite blackguard.

It’s not Bakelite! It’s black anondized
    Aluminum

Ha ok! That’s why it did not look like shiny plastic. It suits the wood in a tasty way.

    I’m in love with it!
The guard takes a second to get used to because it has a texture to it but it’s awesome! I don’t know how it will wear but who cares! It’s awesome!

Attsa-niiice! The roasting really makes the grain pop on ash. Love the look. Let us know how it sounds once you get it plugged in!

The roasted lightens up the weight too! I don’t have a scale handy but it feels lighter than my 99 mim strat
It could be because of the natural finish and lack of multiple paint layers too but the grain feels great in hand when rubbing over the body! They did a real great job! And I love the 50’s v profile neck!

Schwiiiiing! That’s really nice man. Love the grain on it - the roasting truly brings it out nice. When it’s sitting in the case it makes me wonder what a tort pg would look like on it..?

That thought has occurred to me as well but I figured for the time being I’ll try and see why the decision for the anodized was made instead...I read somewhere this was a special run of 200 and that this was the last of the avri’s so by this point they had a bunch of random parts period correct of course and they came up with this concept that was just a bunch of parts thrown together with the roasted finish to make it unique? But I don’t know enough yet about these other than I got a ridiculous deal which made me get it in the first place
