A bit of a long story behind getting this which I’ll keep short.

Many months ago I saw Greg playing a prototype of this. I got in touch with Reverend directly and said I’d like to advance order one and they put me in touch with a UK dealer to pre-order which I did. In Turquoise. It finally landed months later … but had sadly been damaged on the way.

So I got offered a replacement and option of this colour, Bradford Beach Blue. There were only 30 made in Bradford Beach Blue – a mix up at the factory as it was decided to go for Turquoise – so an accidental FSR / limted edition. I said yes and t… many months again after that, here it is.

And what a striking machine. The colour is more greeny blue in the fresh and the finish is ambiguous
, which I like a lot. The cameras have a tricky job getting it these are Ok if not exactly what you see in person. The binding is not at the Gibson level of finishing.

It’s light, resonant and very, very easy to play. The pickups are immense. Full clear rich bright… It’s all there in the standard setting. The bridge is hotter than the neck. The neck has a lovely open bright tone. Quite stratty. Not as sweet and silvery as vintage P90s but they really do the right stuff. And with no noise.

With the button pressed in it’s subtle, but it is a little thicker, a bit quacky PAF… a touch darker and fatter. Plus it does the Peter Green phase thang.. which is a nice to have and been a bit of fun but not essential. It also keeps the top end rolling back the volume. So very versatile. Just on the controls you can go from light clear cleans to roaring dirt.

Out of the box it was pretty ready to rock. Just needed some machine oil in the nut for keeping the Bigsby sweet. Frets, nut and set-up all top notch.

It’s an little like playing a lightweight Les Paul with with P90s, less of T. The neck is very nice, substantial medium not thick but. It’s just right for me. Lovely ebony board. I could definitely gig with this as my main guitar.

Greg Demos it and talks about it (a lot) better than I can of course, here:

I'm friggin' drooling over here. What a beautiful guitar. And great photos. I'd be playing that baby this very second. Congrats!

That looks like about 7.5 pounds of adrenaline-powered, rocket-fuel-driven, face-aching, boredom-killing, high-octane fun right there!!

Whoo!! I'm grinnin' like an idiot just thinking about playing that thing!

Ugh! I’ve been wanting to play one of these. And now they have one named after MY beach?!

Wow, that looks great in every way. I like the little details such as the raised central top with wings.
The painted headstock looks just right for this, too.

The details also add up to a nice, coherent whole. Sometimes guitars have cool details, but
they don't integrate together. Very, very nice.

As Greg would say - a beautiful. instrument of musical sorcery and devastation to the auditory senses

Wow! HNGD! A real beauty. I like the raised body shape (I have a Schecter Ultra III with similar contour).

You got it. The thing has design integrity. Really well thought through.

I looked at the turquoise on line and they should have stuck with this color-- so much nicer, IMO.

I just love the Wisconsin-themed color names.

I want one but I’m going to wait to find one used. I know that will be a while but patience is a virtue! That’s a real beaut. Reverend is kicking butt these days IMO.

Yeah I love it. Greens blues on a T body. Perfect.

Only 30 in this hue and there will be no more so I am told. You'd have to hunt for it or get it made up.
