Well, I got a new guitar this week, it is the PRS reclaim CE 24 that has the Brazilian wood on it.

I have never owned a PRS guitar before, they are absolutely well-made and amazing to play.

I was drawn by the prospect of 100+-year-old Brazilian wood. There is something cool about old wood and guitars.

I got mine from Wildwood guitars, what a great bunch of folks to deal with. I'm going to visit the store when I am in Boulder in June.

The wood is Peroba Rosa Top & Brauna Preto Fretboard. It's really a light guitar also. But it plays really really nice. I was playing it through my Mesa.

    Here are some pictures.

Maybe we need to start an owners club!

IMG_0228.JPG L IMG_0229.JPG Congrats. I sure love mine. The guys at Wildwood are the best. I'm just lucky enough that I could drive down and get it.

Congrats! I saw one today, hanging on the wall at Guitars, Etc in Longmont, just 10 miles down the road from Boulder. They look even better in real life.

Yours has more nail holes than mine. That's so unfair. All joking aside I have a whole lot of guitars and this could become a favorite.

These are very fine guit-fiddles. Punch well above their weight.

It's great to live about an hour away from Wildwood. But it can be dangerous, too!

    Congrats on the NGD!

There's one of these on Reverb right now and they are asking $3700. Someone else is asking $3900 for a reclaimed Vela.

If I didn't like mine so much, I'd flip it! Holy cats!

I want one but I'm not about to pay double. That's crazy. It will be interesting to see of it sells.

I suppose I would sell it for that much but I doubt they'll get anything close to that. They were so popular because the price was so reasonable IMO.

Gbase had a Vela for $ 1249 in the last few days. I did see some of the guitars on Reverb with really high prices. I do not support gouging people.
