I posted about it in another thread. But here are a couple better quality pics. Hands down one the best acoustics I've ever owned and played. Compliments everywhere.

Awesome. I have had several Blueridges, currently have a BG40, and really like them. Congrats!

    Thank's guys.

Are those BG series supposed to be similar soundwise to Gibson acoustics?

You are correct. The BG40 is a take on the classic Gibson slope shoulder design. I believe it has the same bracing, smaller scale, solid top. I don't think it absolutely nails the Gibson sound, but gets in the ballpark and has it's own great sound. Shoot, some Gibsons don't nail the Gibson tone.

I had a BR-143 that was all solid wood and sounded really great. To my ears, it sounded every bit as good as any Martin 000 I've played. I regret getting rid of that one, but needed something better suited to strumming than picking.

What about the 143 made it not work for strumming. Those have the smaller necks with the 1 11/16 nut. Or was it just the 000 size...

In my estimation it's the 000 body size. It had a very pronounced mid-range, no thump. It was a great blues and fingerpicking guitar.

Appreciate all the replies. It's been so nice to have actually bought an instrument that I had absolutely no regrets about. This guitar just doesn't have any faults. Ok...maybe the pickguard could have been tortoise shell, but I'm not about to mess with a thing. Lol
