Yes, my board is dry but frets are smooth with no sprout. I’m going to take the strings off and oil the fingerboard tomorrow!

How’s the neck? I love the 50’s neck on LP’s but I’ve got one from 2011 in Pelham Blue and it has a wide, shallow neck. I just can’t get used to it. I love the P-90 though.

You know...it’s a personal opinion but I like it. It’s rounded and on the thicker side.

    Just for fun...

Gibson Les Paul doublecut, faded (2004)
    p5_uvzy5hbbm_so.jpg
'50s style neck - full and rounded
    6.2 lbs.
    pickups n - 8.01k, b - 8.12k
completely stock and probably not much different than your jr.
I am strongly reminded of the guitar player in my high school band (late '60s) that had an old LP, jr. Of course it wasn't as old then, but the vibe is the same.
    Enjoy the jr.!

    Looks great! Congratulations.

I have goofy question for all of you who own the guitar......how is the intonation and how well does it play in tune with itself?

I have this doublecut and I have worked with it and worked with it and intonating the bridge has been a beast.

I have Melody Makers that play in tune terrificly. I’m considering selling this and buying a LP JR. I rarely play the yellow guitar.

2015 was not kind to Gibson. Sell it. Why did they do a flat pole P-90 that year? The Tuners are WTF? The Marks-a-lot Les Paul logo.
Sorry Studio for the comments. You have quite a stable of guitars so good luck on this one.

Thanks. That Special Faded is a great guitar I owned a TV Yellow one when they first came out and unwisely sold it. They’re pretty hard to find on the used market. Enjoy!

The intonation on mine is good up and down the fretboard. I did not need a set up from the factory. Usually the Junior’s are “close enough for rock and roll” but mine intonates just fine. It also stays in tune great after stretching out the strings.
